Content Policy
This policy says what may be posted on ucracy, and what we do about content that breaks it. It goes with our Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines. ucracy is run by Ucracy Inc., a Delaware corporation.
Bills must be voteable
A bill’s title and description must be concise, clear, and drafted so that members can vote accept or reject. Submissions are validated by AI before publishing; a submission that fails is not published until it is revised. When the AI cannot answer, simpler fixed rules check it instead. The check can be wrong: if it stops a bill you think is fine, change the wording, or write to support@ucracy.com.
What is not allowed
- Threats of violence against anyone, including officials, candidates, election workers and their families.
- Harassment, bullying or intimidation.
- Attacks on people because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or another protected characteristic.
- Someone’s private information posted without their consent, such as a home address, a personal phone number or email address, an identity document, financial or medical information, or anything that lets others find or harm them.
- Sexual content involving a minor, in any form. We remove it and may suspend the account.
- An intimate image of someone shared without their consent, including one made or changed with AI.
- Sexually explicit content or gratuitous violence.
- Content that promotes or encourages self-harm.
- A false statement of fact about a real person that harms their reputation.
- Impersonating any person, official, candidate, party, government body or ucracy, or falsely claiming to be affiliated with one.
- False information about how, when or where to vote or to register, about who may vote, or about whether a vote will be counted; false claims that a candidate has withdrawn or that an election has been moved or cancelled; and content meant to stop people from voting.
- Synthetic or altered media that shows a real person saying or doing something they did not say or do, unless it is clearly labeled.
- Content that falsely claims to come from ucracy or from a government.
- Spam, chain messages, unsolicited ads and bulk messages, including to officials.
- Selling anything, or asking for money or donations, without our written permission.
- Content that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Anything illegal.
How to report
Use “Report” beside a bill, a comment, a post, a reply, an event, a group, a file or a member to tell us that it breaks this policy. You can say that it is an intimate image shared without consent, a concern about a child’s safety, a false statement about a person, or another problem. Anyone, with or without an account, can ask us to remove an intimate image or send a copyright notice, on pages anyone can open, and the “Child safety” page explains how to report a concern about a child.
What we do
Reports go to our moderators’ queue. A moderator can dismiss a report, take down a bill (its number stays, marked “Removed by moderator”), take down a comment or a post, and suspend an account. A suspended account can still read ucracy and delete itself. We keep a copy of what was taken down, out of sight, and a record of every moderator action. Our decisions are about content and conduct, never a judgment of anyone as a person.
If you think we got it wrong, write to support@ucracy.com within 30 days and say what we got wrong. We will take another look.
